On June 27, 2025, ERGO Innovation Lab and ECODYNAMICS jointly published a roughly 30-page whitepaper examining how Large Language Models fundamentally transform online search and digital visibility, with a specific focus on the German insurance market. The study analyzed over 33,000 search results from both classical search engines and AI-based systems, evaluating more than 600 German insurance websites.

The central finding: LLMs filter content differently than classical search engines. Popularity does not determine visibility in LLM results. Instead, readability, structure, and semantic clarity are the decisive factors. Companies must rethink their entire digital visibility strategy, moving from traditional SEO to LLM search optimization.
